VBCDC is an award-winning nonprofit (501(c)(3)) founded in 1985 by the Virginia Beach City Council to facilitate affordable housing and neighbourhood revitalization in Virginia Beach.
Key fact: VBCDC manages a portfolio of 500+ affordable rental units and serves low- and moderate-income households city-wide.
The organisation’s annual budget is approximately $9 million, with around 40 employees.
